Daniel Horan is a Franciscan friar of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Province (New York) and currently resides at Siena College in Loudonville, NY.

Before entering the Order of Friars Minor (the Franciscans), Dan was a professional photographer specializing in editorial and sports photography. Dan is currently engaged in full-time graduate study, is working on a number of writing projects and takes on occasional freelance photography assignments.

Dan is a member of the American Academy of Religion, the College Theology Society, the Medieval Academy of America, the Society for the Study of Christian Spirituality, and The International Thomas Merton Society.
